As a team we’ve worked in many industries and had the pleasure (and sometimes misfortune) of consuming a lot of services via web API. The lacking feature we’ve collectively noticed is the ability to refresh an API key and replace the key in the production environment without any possibility of down time.
Today we’re proud to introduce another industry first feature to make the life of developers easier. Presenting the hotswapable API key. Each time your API key is regenerated, the old API key will still be able to access our services for the next 15 minutes. This results in your account possessing two active keys, both of which are useable without (great) API! If you require a longer grace period for key propagation please let us know ahead of time!
